Louise Postill PCQI, Director
Louise runs Denver House Consultancy and carries out its consultancy and internal audit work personally. She is a Practitioner member of the Chartered Quality Institute and an IRCA registered lead auditor for ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 27001.
Her background is in construction, engineering, information technology, health and safety, temporary traffic management, and logistics and storage. That is where most of Denver House's clients sit, and it is why the National Highways Sector Schemes used by contractors on the road network are a particular focus.
She has run management systems from inside a business, as a group quality assurance manager and data protection officer, and assessed them from the outside for a certification body. Clients get both perspectives: what a system needs in order to work day to day, and what an assessor will look for when they arrive.

Professional membership
Louise is a Practitioner member of the Chartered Quality Institute, the chartered body for the quality profession in the United Kingdom, and holds IRCA lead auditor registration.
The NEBOSH certificate, the Lantra 12D qualification and the Class 1 HGV licence are there because she has done the work she audits, on the road and in the yard as well as in the office. It shows in the questions she asks and the ones she does not need to.
Where the experience comes from
In-house, before Denver House
Louise was Group Quality Assurance Manager and Data Protection Officer for a utilities and construction group, responsible for its management systems and for its obligations under data protection law. It is the side of the work most clients are wrestling with when they first call.
Audit work, separate from the consultancy
Louise was a Client Manager at BSI from 2021 to 2024 and has subcontracted to BSI since 2024, delivering audit and compliance support.
That work is done by Louise in her own right. Denver House does not audit for BSI or for any other certification body, and the note below explains what the separation means for a client.
Advice and auditing are kept apart
The rules certification bodies work under are clear: a consultant who advises a firm cannot audit that firm for a certification body for two years afterwards, and advice from Denver House, including an expert hour, counts. So that the rule can be applied, Denver House keeps a record of the firms it has advised and makes it available to certification bodies for their conflict checks. If your certification body later proposes the same person as your assessor, that record is what stops it.
Denver House is a consultancy, not a certification body. It cannot certify anyone, and engaging it does not guarantee the outcome of any assessment: certification is granted by an independent, UKAS-accredited body, and that decision is always theirs alone.
